Due to the absence of a suitable jacking location on the piers, a custom prefabricated shelf was designed, fabricated, and stressed through the headstock, guaranteeing secure placement and stability throughout the operation.
The project required the use of a synchronized hydraulic pump, along with 60-ton lock ring jacks and flat jacks positioned at the abutments. This setup enabled precise and controlled lifting and lowering, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of the bridge during the bearing replacement. Our expertise in complex hydraulic jacking operations was pivotal to the successful execution of this critical infrastructure upgrade.
