Real Projects. Proven Capability.

Maritana - Bridge jacking

Struxit provided specialised jacking services to support the replacement of old elastomeric bearings on the Maritana Bridge in Kalgoorlie. Due to the absence of a suitable jacking location on the piers, a custom prefabricated shelf was designed, fabricated, and stressed through the headstock, guaranteeing secure placement and stability throughout the operation. The project required the use of a synchronised hydraulic pump, along with 60-ton lock ring jacks and flat jacks positioned at the abutments. This setup enabled precise and controlled lifting and lowering, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of the bridge during the bearing replacement. Expertise in complex hydraulic jacking operations was pivotal to the successful execution of this critical infrastructure upgrade.

Armadale Line Upgrade Alliance (ALUA) - Beam Jacking

Struxit played a key role in the successful completion of the ALUA Elevated Rail Upgrade in Perth by expertly jacking over 130 beams to facilitate the installation of spherical and elastomeric bearings. To ensure precise, safe, and controlled lifting operations, we utilised a synchronised hydraulic system, allowing for seamless coordination across multiple jacking points. This approach minimised risks and maintained the structural integrity of the beams throughout the process. We deployed a diverse range of hydraulic jacks with capacities of 60 tons, 100 tons, and 200 tons, carefully selecting the appropriate equipment for each task to meet the project’s exacting requirements. Struxit’s expertise and meticulous planning ensured smooth execution, delivering optimal outcomes on this critical infrastructure project.

Bayswater - Bridge jacking

We were tasked with assisting in the installation of spherical bearings which also required jacking the Bayswater Bridge. Using a synchronised hydraulic pump, we facilitated precise and controlled lifting and lowering. Throughout this process, we utilised various lockring jacks, including 60-ton, 100-ton, and 200-ton hydraulic jacks.

Precast beam void repairs

We successfully repaired voids on four pre-cast beams using a specialised vacuum method, effectively mitigating the expense of replacing the beams entirely. The repair was crucial, as manufacturing new beams would have resulted in significant construction delays and rework costs. Our skilled team designed and constructed high-quality formwork that maintained negative pressure, ensuring the complete removal of any trapped air within the voids. This precise and controlled approach not only restored the structural integrity of the beams but also preserved the project timeline and budget.

S2M - Bridge jacking and Bearing installation

Struxit assisted the S2M project with installation of their bridge bearing for the pedestrian bridge. 8no of bearings were successfully installed with isolation pads and washers included. Enabling installation meant supporting the structure with hydraulic jacks and levelling it to final cast level. All work fronts were accessed through EWPs on road and RRVs on rail. Interface with the road and rail traffic was carefully navigated through planning, positive communication and adhering to isolation protocols and timetables.
